WELCOME TO FOM

Someone once said that quantity surveyors and project managers are like the wings of an ostrich. They enable you to run, but not to soar.

In other words, neither has anything to do with creativity.  Worse still, both can get in the way of imaginative, mould-breaking ideas.

We see things differently.

Imagination may well be the voice of the daring.  But it’s the voice of reason – or rather understanding – that decides whether or not imaginative projects get off the ground.

They say being sympathetic to creative ideas – visualizing dreams –
is not the job of the project manager or surveyor. We say, ‘Why not?’

We believe quantity surveying and project management can be every bit as creative as the space that is elevated as a result.

In fact, we go further.  We believe it has to be.

Before the death of his father in 1751, he began to landscape the grounds in the new 'picturesque' style, and between 1754 and 1760 it was he who was responsible for the building of the house as it is seen today… Read More
